Applications can be filed on-line at www.commonhelp.virginia.gov, by calling toll-free 1-855-635-4370, or contacting the office at 1-276-783-8148 to have one mailed to you. Crisis Assistance will begin November 1, 2020 to assist with the repair of or purchase of heating equipment and security deposits needed in order to have electric or gas heat established or to prevent the service from being disconnected. A separate application is required for Crisis. Only homeowners are eligible for purchase of heating equipment.
